xenn [34]
Woodrow Wilson was one of the main influences in the ending of World War I. He worked very close with the leaders of France and Great Britain in order to develop the Treaty of Versailles. In this treaty, the League of Nations was created. This idea, developed by Wilson, was supposed to be a collection of countries who worked together to keep international peace.

Even though Wilson supported it, the US Congress did not. This effort to not join the League of Nations was headed by Henry Cabot Lodge. Lodge felt that the US should avoid constant foreign entanglement. Along with this, Lodge worried that joining this organization would cause the US to be dragged into more wars in the future.

Answer: B

upholding basic democratic values.

Explanation:

In political science, the term banana republic describes a politically unstable country with an economy dependent upon the exportation of a limited-resource product, such as bananas or minerals.

The U.S occupied almost continuously from 1912 to 1933 the central America, after intermittent landings and naval bombardments in the prior decades. The U.S. had troops in Nicaragua to prevent its leaders from creating conflicts with U.S. interests in the country. The bluejackets and marines were there for about 15 years. The U.S. claimed it wanted Nicaragua to elect "good men", who ostensibly would not threaten to disrupt U.S. interests.
