Have you learned matrices yet? I'm going to use that to solve these, please refer to the photos.

I solved the system by using a matrix calculation. The work always needs to be shown and you do that by setting up the matrix like in the first photo and also writing out all your equations. In a TI calculator, to do this you press 2ND-X^-1,GO TO EDIT - [A] - 3×4- now enter the coefficient of the system of equations variables. NOW 2ND MODE- 2ND-X^-1 -GO TO MATH- ALPHA APPS

Now, if you don't know this you may be confuse so after rref([A]) was enter a matrix came up with [1 0 0 -21] in the top row this means x equal -21. So, the next row is y and it came out as [0 1 0 46] so y equals 46 and I'm going to let you figure out what z is by looking at the matrix.

SO... X=-21 Y=46 and Z=-10

Let's Test it

4x + 5y - 5z = 196 \\ 4( - 21) + 5(46) - 5( - 10) = 196 \\  - 84 + 230 + 50 = 196 \\ 196 = 196

Jamie practices singing for 45 minutes every day. Which equation represents the relationship between the total number of minutes
djyliett [7]

Answer:

t = 45d

Step-by-step explanation:

Number of days = d

Number of minutes = t

Number of minutes per day = 45 minutes

Total number of minutes of practice after d number of days will be :

t = number of minutes per days * Number of days

t = 45 * d

t = 45d

If the probability of events is 2/7 what must be the complement ?
Ad libitum [116K]

If the probabilty of Event E is p, then,

the probability of Complement of Event E would be "1 - p".

So, to get the complement's probability, we subtract the normal probability from "1".

Hence, the probabilty of the complement would be:

\begin{gathered} 1-\frac{2}{7} \\ =\frac{7}{7}-\frac{2}{7} \\ =\frac{5}{7} \end{gathered}

Annie went to the bakery to buy cookies for the tea party the cookies she wanted cost $1.20 per 1/2 dozen $2.38 per dozen or $0.
erastovalidia [21]

Answer:

It would cost $0.49 less

Step-by-step explanation:

If Annie buy 1/2 dozen it would cost her $1.20

and 3 cookies would be $0.23 × 3 = $0.69

And totally it would be $1.20 + $0.69 = $1.89

And to buy a dozen would cost $2.38, so

to buy 1/2 dozen and 3 cookies would cost $2.38 - $1.89 = 0.49 lesser than buying a dozen

Which expression is equivalent to log Subscript 5 Baseline (StartFraction x Over 4 EndFraction) squared? 2 log Subscript 5 Basel
german

The required equivalent expression for  {log}_{5}  \ (\frac{x}{4} ) ^{2} is 2 \ log_{5}\ x-2\ log_{5}\  4.

Given expression,

{log}_{5}  \ (\frac{x}{4} ) ^{2}.

We have to find the Equivalent fraction of  {log}_{5} \ (\frac{x}{4} ) ^{2}.

We know that from the properties of logarithm, the following identities

log\  m^{n} =n\ log\ m .....(1)

log\ \frac{m}{n} = log\ m- log\ n\\.......(2)

Now, {log}_{5}  \ (\frac{x}{4} ) ^{2}= 2 \ log_{5} \ \frac{x}{4} ( using 1 identity)

Again using 2 identity, we get

{log}_{5}  \ (\frac{x}{4} ) ^{2}= 2[ log_{5}\ x-log_{5}\  4  ]. (using 2 identity)

{log}_{5}  \ (\frac{x}{4} ) ^{2}= 2 \ log_{5}\ x-2\ log_{5}\  4

Hence the required equivalent expression for  {log}_{5}  \ (\frac{x}{4} ) ^{2} is {log}_{5}  \ (\frac{x}{4} ) ^{2}= 2 \ log_{5}\ x-2\ log_{5}\  4.
