Food is a basic necessity. Therefore, food supply has a great influence on cultures. Neolithic communities with plenty of access to food did not have to worry about survival. These communities had more leisure time. On the other hand, scarcity of food inspired people to invent new methods and tools for getting food. Also, the desire for a steady supply of food may have led people into religious faith. Humans may have started building temples and making sacrifices to please supernatural powers that influenced their food supply.
The right answer is consistency. This is the tendency to be congruent with our thinking and our behavior to have a balance or mental homeostasis. This tendency motivates people to take actions. This is the opposite of cognitive dissonance, where there is an inconsistency between thought and behavior.
