Answer:

The length of each of the other two sides would be 3.1 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

The options of the question are

A. 3.1 cm

B. 3.2 cm

C. 4.2 cm

D. 6.1 cm

we know that

An isosceles triangle has two equal sides and two equal interior angles

Let

x -----> the length of each of the two equal sides in the isosceles triangle

The perimeter of one isosceles triangle is equal to

P=2x+2

Remember that

To maximize the use of the wire, the perimeter of 6 earrings (3 pairs of earrings) must be equal to 50 cm

so

6(2x+2)=50

Solve for x

12x+12=50

12x=50-12

12x=38

x=\frac{38}{12}=3.16\ cm

therefore

The length of each of the other two sides would be 3.1 cm

A water molecule is made up of 3 atoms. One third of the atoms are oxygen and the remaining atoms are hydrogen. If there are 114
Mashcka [7]

Answer:

228 hydrogen atoms

Step-by-step explanation:

In a water molecule,

1/3rd is oxygen atoms, and

2/3rd (1 - 1/3 = 2/3) is hydrogen atoms

If there are 114 water molecules,

Total number of atoms would be:

3 * 114 = 342 (1 oxygen and 2 hydrogen atoms in 1 water molecule)

Out of these, 2/3rd would be hydrogen atoms, so:

\frac{2}{3}*342=228

There would be 228 hydrogen atoms

I need help on this specific equation: 10x+1=3x+9
Yuri [45]
Well, first you'd have to get the x by it's self.
10x+1=3x+9
Subtract 3x from each side and you'll have the x on only one side rather than two.
7x+1=9
Now I'd get rid of the 1 on the x's side. So just subtract 1 from each side.
7x=8
Then you should make it so the seven isn't there with the x either. Just divide each side by 7.
Answer: x=8/7
Each time you change something on one side, you must do the same to the other side. T find the value of a variable in an equation, simple seclude it so it's on it's own without number to make things confusing.
The answer was x=8/7 btw.
