Answer:

The apartheid system in South Africa was ended through a series of negotiations between 1990 and 1993 and through unilateral steps by the de Klerk government. These negotiations took place between the governing National Party, the African National Congress, and a wide variety of other political organisations. Negotiations took place against a backdrop of political violence in the country, including allegations of a state-sponsored third force destabilising the country. There is indeed much courage, sacrifice, wisdom and nobility in his life – attributes that demand our deep respect and have much to teach us.

What is less well-known is how Mandela evolved into the kind of strategic leader who, from prisons on Robben Island and elsewhere, helped to bring genuine democracy to South Africa. For example, while isolated from his fellow prisoners by force, he steered secret government meetings toward the abolishment of apartheid and free elections. What would life be like without the 1st Amendment?
Talja [164]

Answer:

Our lives would be ENTIRELY different. "The First Amendment states: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” This shows that different religions would be unacceptable and freedom of speech wouldnt really be there. Hope this helps :)

AnnyKZ [126]

<u>Positive Economists'</u> purpose is to create an explanation of a certain economic phenomena.

These economists use statistics in order to find out the aggregate behavior of the people because of a certain economic decisions. From this, they can developed an understanding to explain the economic phenomena.

<u>The normative economists' </u>purpose is to find out whether a certain economic decision achieve its original purpose.

They used statistic as a quantitative measurements. They determine the goals of a certain economic policy and  They compared the statistic before the economic policy  was implemented to the condition after the implementation .

This will help them know whether the policy achieve its original goals.

For example. if a certain policy was created to reduce unemployment, normative economists will compare the data/statistic about the number of employment before and after the policy.
