Perimeter is basically when you add up the length and the width. So since the width is 6.5, you can guarantee that there is another side with the width of 6.5 (Because it's a rectangle you're going to have sides with the same measurements otherwise it wouldn't be a rectangle).
So you add 6.5 and 6.5 to get 13
Now we subtract 13 from 34 to get the our length.
34 - 13 is 21.
21 / 2 (because there are two sides that add up to give that amount) is 10.5.
But anyway, the equation would be

(6.5 x 2) + (l x 2) = 34
I hope this helps :)

Determine the growth defined by the equation y=3(3.4)x
jekas [21]
\bf \qquad \textit{Amount for Exponential Growth}\\\\
A=I(1 + r)^t\qquad
\begin{cases}
A=\textit{accumulated amount}\\
I=\textit{initial amount}\\
r=rate\to r\%\to \frac{r}{100}\\
t=\textit{elapsed time}\\
\end{cases}\\\\
-------------------------------\\\\
\stackrel{A}{y}=\stackrel{I}{3}(3.4)^{x}\implies y=3(1+\stackrel{r}{2.4})^x
\\\\\\
\cfrac{r}{100}=2.4\implies r=100\cdot 2.4\implies r=\stackrel{\%}{240}

The sum of two numbers is 30. The difference of the two numbers is 6. Write a system of equations to represent the situation and
8_murik_8 [283]

Answer:

<h2>18, 12</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

let us say one number is x and the other one is (x+6)

x+(x+6)=30

-6

x+x=24

2x=24

divide by two

x=12

(x(12)+6)=18

<h3>Answer: y = |x-1|-1</h3>

===================================

Explanation:

Start with the parent function y = |x|

Replacing x with x-1 shifts the graph 1 unit to the right

Tack a -1 at the end to get y = |x-1|-1 which will shift everything down 1 unit.

The vertex started at (0,0) and moved to (1,-1)
