no it isn't. 2cos(x) is 2 multiplied by cos(x), cos (2x) is cos(2 multiplied by x) meaning 2x is the angle you're taking the cosine of. if you want to know what cos(2x) look up the double angle rule.

Answer:

No they are not the same.

Step-by-step explanation:

No, they are not the same.

2 cos x you have a vertical stretch and the 2 is called the Amplitude.

cos 2x  the 2 is like a horizontal compression and this alters the period of cos, which the new period will be at pi instead of 2pi

Solve for y:<br> x-0.25y=1.5
STatiana [176]
To find value of y in times o x we have to transfrom this equation.
LEts do this
x-0.25y=1.5           /-x subtract x both sides
-0.25y=1.5-x                /*4 multiply by 4 both sides
-0.25y*4=4(1.5-x)
-1y=6-4x          /*-1     multiply both sides by -1
y=4x-6

vesna_86 [32]
<span>We know that the runner completed her first race in 17.8 seconds and that she completed her second race in 16.9 seconds. Then the difference between the first race and the second race is .9 seconds. Now we divide .9 by 17.8 and multiply by 100 to get the percent decrease. We get 5.06%. The percent decrease in her time is 5%.</span>

Slope intercept of (1,1) and (0,7)
Sonja [21]

Answer:

\boxed {m = -6}

Step-by-step explanation:

Use the <u>Slope Formula</u> to help you determine the slope of the following two points:

m = \frac{y_{2} - y_{1}}{x_{2} - x_{1}}

(Where (x_{1}, y_{1}) is the first point and (x_{2}, y_{2}) is the second point)

-Apply both points onto that formula:

(x_{1}, y_{1}) = (1, 1)

(x_{2}, y_{2}) = (0, 7)

m = \frac{7 - 1}{0 - 1}

-Solve:

m = \frac{7 - 1}{0 - 1}

m = \frac{6}{-1}

\boxed {m = -6}
