The hostess or host makes an impact on the customers opinion because that is the first person you see when you walk into the restaurant and if they are not dressed nice and have a bad attitude then it's probably gonna seem like the owner doesn't care that much about his restaurant and doesn't care about what the customer thinks. A good restaurant should have a good hostess or host so you know they care and want you to think well of their establishment.
