Given x(x1,y1)=(2,4)
          z(x2,y2)=(x2,y2)
         midpoint (x,y)=(-1,1)
2+x2/2=-1;4+y2/2=1
2+x2=-2;4+y2=2
x2=-4;y2=-2
z(x2,y2)=(-4,-2)

The solution to the problem is as follows:

X(2,4); Y(-1,1). Z(a,b). Y is the midpoint of XZ

<span>(2+a)/2=-1 </span>
<span>2+a=-2 </span>
<span>a=-4 </span>
<span>(4+b)/2=1 </span>
<span>4+b=2 </span>
<span>b=-2
</span>
<span>Then Z is (-4,-2)
</span>

Which of the following iſ the best statement of the use of the addition rule of probability?
otez555 [7]

Answer:

Option C

Step-by-step explanation:

Addition theory of probability is used to determine the probability for union of two or more sets.

P(AUB) = P(A)+P(B)-P(AB) is the addition theory of probability for two sets A and B.

P(AUBUC) = P(A)+P(B)+P(C)-P(AB)-P(BC)-P(CA)

for 3 sets

This can be extended to any number of sets

So addition theory has nothing to do with independent events both occurring

Option c is the right answer.

a) <u>n² + 6 </u>

~Here n is the number of term. So, put n = 1,2,3,4.... to get the term.

  • If n = 1, first term = 1² + 6 = 7
  • n = 2, second term = 10
  • n = 3, third temm = 15
  • n = 4, fourth term = 22
  • n = 10, tenth term = 106

b) <u>3n²</u>

  • If n = 1, first term = 3
  • n = 2, second term = 12
  • n = 3, third term = 27
  • n = 4, fourth term = 48
  • n = 10, tenth term = 300
