With a ten dollar bill how much change do i get back if i buy four items, priced at 1.79, 2.99, 4.37 and 0.33

Add the price of the items bought and then subtract that from ten dollars:


Total bought:  1.79 + 2.99 + 4.37 + 0.33 = $9.48


Change back: 10.00 - 9.48 = 0.52
