Biology

Answer:

Exercise

Explanation:

Cognitive impairment is the condition where a person has difficulty in recalling or remembering things. They also find it difficult to perform daily tasks and make decisions. They are not able to concentrate hence also have trouble learning new things. Cognitive impairment can be present genetically although it is observed almost in a large number of ageing people.

Exercise has been proven to help in cases of mild to severe cognitive impairment. In an experiment it was proven that 6 months of aerobic exercise reversed cognitive impairment symptoms in ageing people. It particularly benefits people carrying the APOE4 gene variant responsible for making people susceptible to Alzheimer's.

Would a bacterial cell undergo mitosis in the same way as a eukaryotic cell? Why or why not?
nikklg [1K]
Unlike eukaryotes, prokaryotes (which include bacteria) undergo a type of cell division known as binary fission. In some respects, this process is similar to mitosis; it requires replication of the cell's chromosomes, segregation of the copied DNA, and splitting of the parent cell's cytoplasm.

The nurse is assessing the nutritional status of a 3-month-old baby. the mother informs the nurse that she feeds the baby with c
Arlecino [84]
I’m not sure that your choices are because it says select all that apply but I would tell the mother to stop giving the baby cows milk. The baby needs more iron which is in breast milk or formula if not she can become anemic and cows milk is not easy to digest for babies.

Describe a characteristic of both an Emperor Penguin and Galapagos Penguin that evolved differently due to their different envir
nevsk [136]

Answer: The size.

Explanation: On the one hand the Emperor Penguin is bigger reaching up to 48 Inches (120cm) of height and 100 Lb in weight, on the other hand the Galápagos Penguin is much smaller. For example a large adult usually goes up to 21 Inches (53cm) and 5 Lb of weight.

This is directly related to the temperature of the environment in which each one develops, because a body exchanges heat in two dimensions through the surface. So, it's easier for a big creature to maintain core temperature stable.

This is really important in environments like the Arctic where temperature goes below zero and the opposite happen in the Equator where there is a tropical weather all the time.

Suppose a drug is developed that blocks K+ leakage channels. The drug prevents ions from passing through those channels. If this
Sav [38]

Answer: 1. The resting membrane potential would become less negative (more positive).

Explanation:

Resting membrane potential is a voltage carried by a resting (non-signaling) neuron, or called as resting potential, across its membrane.  The resting potential is determined by ion concentration gradients across the membrane, and the permeability of the membrane to each ion form.

In a resting brain, there are gradients of concentration across the Na+ and K+ membranes. Forces shift their gradients down through channels, resulting in a separation of charges that provides the potential for rest. The membrane is much more permeable to K+ than to Na+, so the resting potential is similar to K+'s potential for equilibrium.

Hence, the correct option is 1. The resting membrane potential would become less negative (more positive).
