the product of two fractions can be 1, 0, improper,mixed number or one fraction itself if multiplied by 1. I know whether two fractions are equal 4/5 and 12/15 for example by using the greatest common factor of the numerator and denominator, if the GCF is greater or equal to 2 then it can be simplified further. In this example 12 and 15 can be divided by 3 which is 4/5.
