Help me with 3, and 5 show your work !
ss7ja [257]
Okay so for number 3, you have to do the top work first.

3: POSITIVE 2!! first, you do the stuff inside the parentheses first because of P(parentheses)EMDAS. so, 14-2-10! -2-10 is -12 and then plus positive 14 is +2. but, the negative sign outside of the parentheses makes that +2 a -2.
but, you cant forget the -12 outside. you have to do -12-2 which gets you -14. then, this is easy! -14 divided by -7 is a positive 2!

5: POSITIVE 3!! again, do the stuff in the parentheses first!! -2-4 is -6. then, -6 x 2 is -12! so, divide -12 by -4 and you get a positive 3!

During a promotional weekend a state fair gives a free admission to every 175th Person who enters the fair on Saturday there wer
emmasim [6.3K]

Answer:

69

Step-by-step explanation:

If every 175th person gets free admission, that means

175th

175 * 2 = 350th

175 * 3 = 525th

person gets free admission and so on...

This basically means <em><u>"how many 175s are there is 6742 (for first day) and 5487 (for 2nd day)?"</u></em>

<em><u /></em>

We would need to divide and see the WHOLE number, not the fractional(decimal) amount remaining. So

<u>1st Day:</u>

6742/175 = 38.53

This means 38 people will get free admission

<u>2nd Day:</u>

5487/175 = 31.35

This means 31 people will get free admission

In the 2 days, total of 38 + 31 = 69 people will get free admission

effective red time = 25 seconds

solution

we get here  effective green time that is express as

effective green time = cycle length  - effective red time   ...........................1

Delegates from 10 countries, including Russia,
ankoles [38]

Answer: 564480 arrangements

Step-by-step explanation:

First, let's consider the French and English delegates as one party because they will sit next to each other.

So total delegates if French and English are always together comes out to be 9 instead of 10.

Now, they are to sit in a row and can have different seats so the total number of ways they can sit is= 2 x 9!= 725760 ways.

Now, when Russian and U.S delegates are not to sit next to each other so consider similarly like before consider them as one unit like French and English. Now they can also change their seats so number of way for them= 2 x 2 x 8!= 161280 ways

To find out when French and English delegates are together and Russain and U.S delegates are not together we subtract the way from the original value.

725760-161280= 564480 way.
