In a region where the temperature is high, the air gets heated up. As a result of which the air becomes warm and less dense and rises up into the atmosphere forming a low pressure zone. This air when rises up, it experiences a cooler temperature and gets cooled. This cooling allows the air mass to become dense and starts condensing. It then precipitates in the form of rainfall. This motion of air particles in the atmosphere forms a convection, that is similar to the one that forms in the mantle layer of the earth.
Thus, the warm air transfers heat forming convections.
