Hi there!

Generally, any form is fine, since you always get the same solutions (if you're doing it correctly), but usually, if you encounter something like y = 3x + 2 when the value of y is already given to you, you can just plug the value of y into the other equation and use substitution, but other than that, if the question allows, you should use elimination.

Hope this helps!

Use substitution when either and x or y is given, for instance: x = 2y + 3 or y = 8x - 9.

Use elimination when a number from both equations can cancel each other out, for example:
2x + 3y = 19
-2x + 7y = 12

Hope this helps!

Khalil has 13.5 M of lanyard he needs to cut the lanyards into pieces that are 90 cm long how many full-length pieces of a lanya
Dmitry [639]

We have been given that Khalil has 13.5 M of lanyard. He needs to cut the lanyards into pieces that are 90 cm long. We are asked to find the number of full-length pieces of a lanyard will Khalil be able to cut.

First of all, we will convert 13.5 meter into cm.

1 meter = 100 cm

13.5 meters = 13.5*100 = 1350 cm.

Now we will divide 1350 by 90 to find number of pieces of lanyard that can be cut from 1350 cm.

\text{Number of full-length pieces of a lanyard}=\frac{1350}{90}

\text{Number of full-length pieces of a lanyard}=15

Therefore, Khalil will be able to cut 15 full-length pieces of a lanyard.

Can Anyone Please HELP ME ITS DUE TOMORROW MORNING
almond37 [142]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

1/8 = 1/9 + x ...multiply by LCD of 72

9 = 8 + 72x

9 - 8 = 72x

1 = 72x

1/72 = x

1/8 = 1/10 + x....multiply by 40

5 = 4 + 40x

5 - 4 = 40x

1 = 40x

1/40 = x

1/8 = 1/11 + x....multiply by 88

11 = 8 + 88x

11 - 8 = 88x

3 = 88x

3/88 = x

can all unit fractions be made in more then 1 way like this ?

not to sure because that last one....because it has been that a unit fraction is the outcome of adding together 2 unit fractions...but that last one...3/88 is not a unit fraction
