Sarah lost her job at the bank because the economy is in a recession. This layoff is an example of cyclical unemployment.

A recession is an economic contraction whenever there is a slowdown in economic activity. The economic cycle is made up of recesions and booms. During an economic recession investment, production, incomes and profits decrease.

Cyclical unemployment go hand in hand with the cyclical trends in growth and production, that make up part of the economic cycle. Whenever there is a recession there tends to be unemployment.

Economist Gary Becker proposed that husbands and wives make joint decisions to maximize the benefits for the entire family, such
lukranit [14]

The following is missing for the question to be complete:

a. consensus

b. exchange

c. symbolic interactionist

d. structural functionalist

Answer:    Exchange

Explanation:  This theoretical perspective known as social exchange is about joint decisions that will produce certain positive outcomes in terms of the benefits that are maximised in that case. In this way, they make the most profits that have a long-term effect on the family or the community. In doing so, joint decisions are made as a result of negotiations with the consent of all those who agree and decide on the basis of assessing what is best for the community, i.e the family. Such an exchange agreement brings stability, includes all possible alternatives under consideration, and decides on the one solution that will benefit. In other words, as is the case here, the spouses agree on what is best for the family in terms of who will work, so that the result would be the best possible for all.
