Answer:

length= 24 inches

width= 7 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

Start by writing down what you know.

width= w

length= 3w+3

Then, we can substitute into the perimeter of a rectangle equation, P=2l+2w.

62= 2(3w+3) + 2(w)

62=6w+6+2w

62=8w+6

56=8w

7=w

Now, plug this into our original equations for length and width:

width=7

length= 3(7)+3, so 24

15 POINTS: The ratio of the same side interior angles of two parallel lines is 33:3. Find the measures of all eight angles forme
larisa [96]

Answer:

15^\circ,165^\circ,15^\circ,165^\circ\\15^\circ,165^\circ,15^\circ,165^\circ

Step-by-step explanation:

The ratio of the same side interior angles of two parallel lines is 33:3

If two parallel lines are cut by a transversal

Sum of the same side interior angles = 180 degrees.

Therefore, the two same-side interior angles are:

\dfrac{33}{36}\times 180^\circ =165^\circ\\\dfrac{3}{36}\times 180^\circ =15^\circ

We can then say that the measure of all eight angles formed by the parallel lines and transversal starting from the upper left in a clockwise rotation is:

15^\circ,165^\circ,15^\circ,165^\circ, 15^\circ,165^\circ,15^\circ,165^\circ

In preparation for the Senior Prom, 8 seniors got together and decided to travel in style and rent a limousine. They investigate
Snowcat [4.5K]
<span>The limousine will cost $240.
$180 for the first three hours, plus 30 for each hour after. They need two extra hours.
So, 180+30(2)=240.
They also want to leave a $20 dollar tip.
So, 240+20=260
That is $260 dollars they need to pay altogether.
Divide that number by the number of students and you'll get how much they each must pay.
260/8=32.50

$32.50 each.

How can I use models to help me divide??
Ivan
You can use models to help you divide by making the number of models as your divisor. For example let's say I am dividing 8 ÷ 2. So you would make 8 circles (doesn't have to be circle it can be whatever like squares) and then make groups of 2 until you run out of circles. Then how many groups there are is your answer. 8÷2=4. Hope I helped!

What is the value of x in the right triangle below? Show your work and round your answer to the nearest hundredth.

The length of the hypothenuse or the value of x is equal to 19.53

Data;

  • hypothenuse = x
  • adjacent = 11.2
  • opposite = 16
<h3>Pythagoras's Theorem</h3>

To solve this problem, we have to use Pythagoras's theorem which is used to find the missing side in a right angle triangle if we have at least two sides.

The formula for this is

x^2 = y^2 + z^2\\

Let's substitute the values and solve for the missing side

x^2 = 16^2 + 11.2^2 \\x^2 = 256 + 125.44\\x^2 = 381.44\\x = \sqrt{381.44} \\x = 19.53

The length of the hypothenuse or the value of x is equal to 19.53
