Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is the procedure that involves washing two separate healthy sperm from the unhealthy one and then placing this concentration of healthy sperm into the uterus around the time of ovulation.

Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is a fertility treatment in which healthy sperm are placed inside a woman’s uterus around the time of ovulation to facilitate fertilization. IUI is performed to maximize the number of sperm cells that get to the fallopian tubes and eventually maximize the possibility of fertilization. IUI is carried out when a person has ejaculation dysfunction, a hostile cervical condition or when the cause of infertility is unknown.
