Answer:

1.5

Step-by-step explanation:

The first step is to get y on one side of the equation. This will get you y = 1.5x - 2.5. To put it simply, a parallel line will always share the same slope, so the answer is 1.5.

A toy rocket is a composite of a cylindrical body with a cone for a nose. The base of the cylinder and cone are the same size. C
inysia [295]

The volume of the entire rocket given the volumes of the cylindrical body and the cone nose is 117.23 in³.

<h3>What is the volume of the entire rocket?</h3>

The volume of the entire rocket is the sum of the volume of the cylinder and the volume of the cone.

Volume of the cylinder = πr²h

Where:

  • π = 3.14
  • r = radius 2
  • h= height = 12 - 4 = 8 inches

3.14 x 2² x 8 = 100.48 in³

Volume of the cone = 1/3 πr²h

1/3 x 2² x 3.14 x 4 = 16.75 in³

Volume of the rocket = 100.48 + 16.75 = 117.23 in³

What is the slope of the line y + 3= 5/7(x + 4)
PolarNik [594]

Answer:

5/7

Step-by-step explanation:

y + 3 = 5/7 (x + 4)

y + 3 = 5/7x + 2 and 6/7

y = 5/7x =1/7

y = mx + b

m = slope

Find each measure.<br> PLS HELP ME GIND ALL THREE ANSWERS
Novosadov [1.4K]

Answer:

RT = 16

AB = 5

HJ = 6

Step-by-step explanation:

To start off a perpendicular bisector is a bisector that makes a 90° angle, and a bisector divides something into two equal parts.

1. So for the first triangle it is asking for the line <u>RT</u>, and the bisector (<u>RT</u>) goes between the angle < TRS. With this being said, the lines <u>RT</u> is equal to the line <u>RS</u>, so since <u>RS</u> is 16 so is <u>RT</u><u>.</u> So the answer is <u>RT</u>= 16.

2. So for the second triangle it is asking for the line <u>AB</u>, and line <u>AB</u> is bisected by line <em>t</em><em> </em>the lines <u>AD</u> and <u>DB</u> are equal. So knowing this they both are 2.5, but the question isn't asking for part of the line, it is asking for the whole thing so you have to add 2.5 + 2.5. After you adding you get solution of 5 which makes <u>AB</u> = 5.

3. So for the third triangle its is asking for the line <u>HJ</u>, and the bisector (HL) goes between the angle < JHK. With this being said the lines <u>HJ</u> and <u>HK</u> are equal to one another. So you would write that as an equation which is 3x + 1 = 5x - 3. So for this part can vary, you can either move the x to the left or the right either way it gets you the answer, but I am going to explain how to move it to the left. First, you want to subtract 5x to 3x because when you move a variable to the other side of the equation (=) you have to do the opposite value so the number on the other side can cancel out. So on the right the 5x cancels out as it is subtracted by the 3x. Then, you do the same thing but with the 1. You will subtract 1 from -3 because you have to have something on both sides of the equation. After you did these two steps the equation is now -2x = -4. The main reason for doing this equation is to get the x alone so to do that you have to divide -4/-2. The reason why you don't change the sign is because like I said you are trying to cancel out the number you are moving so a negative divided by a negative equals a positive so you would just divide the -2. After this last step you get x = 2. But the problem is asking for the line not what x is. So you put your x into the equation since you have the number that is missing. So your new equation should look like 3 × 2 + 1. Then the answer you get from this should be 6, so which makes HJ = 6.

which of the following is a true statement a) if AB=CD,then 3CD=3(CD+1). b)if AB=CD,then AB-CD=A-C+B-D. c)if AB=CD,thenAB+EF=CD+
Free_Kalibri [48]

a) if AB = CD, then 3CD = 3(CD + 1) NOT TRUE

example: AB = CD = 1, then 3CD = (3)(1)=3 and 3(CD + 1) = 3(1 + 1) = 3(2) = 6

b) if AB = CD, then AB - CD = A - C + B - D NOT TRUE (it does not make sense because A, B, C and D are points)

c) if AB = CD, then AB + EF = CD + EF TRUE

because

AB = CD    |add EF to both sides

AB + EF = CD + EF

d) if AB = CD, then 2AB = 2A + 2B NOT TRUE (it does not make sense because A and B are points).

Use synthethic division to divide 4x^3 -6x^2 -23x+10 by x+2
oee [108]

Answer:

4x^2-14x+5

Step-by-step explanation:

To set up this question you set up the problem by taking the first numbers AND their values (i.e., 4x-6 would make 4, -6) and set them up under a L-shaped bracket. Then solve x+2 by setting it equal to zero (x+2=0), it would be x=-2. You then drag down the first number and multiple it by -2, then add it to the second number and so on until you finish. Whatever is left is then written into and equation, with the exponents starting at one less than the original, and the remainder would be put into a fraction over x+2.
