Hurricane Katrina hit Gulf coast of Us on August 29, 2005.  It had category three and carried wind of 100-140 miles per hour.  George Bush and his administration was criticised for lack of preparation and mismanagement. With in days of Katrina's landfall people started to question the state, federal and local  governments role in preparation and response to the storm. The televised images of residents of New Orleans who were without water, food or shelter angered the viewers across the country. New York's mayor Ray Nagin was criticised for not implementing his flood plan ad issuing the emergency evacuation order very late. He blamed Federal government for not providing sufficient reinforcement.
