A U.S. Department of Defense official has made it clear that, for a generous contribution, he would make sure your firm wins a h

Answer:

You should think about fair competition.

Explanation:

The ethics question here would be: Is the contribution I'm willing to pay to get the contract a bribery? So, if there are better firms than mine but they don't have the money to pay the contribution, does it mean I get preferential treatment because I can afford it? Wouldn't it be considered unfair by many?

This a common practice in business and although seen morally wrong by many, it is the only way to ensure some contracts are signed. People who advocate this way of dealing with allocating contracts say that it is a fair way, everybody has the opportunity in life to make money and some people would always make more than others. Critics say that it's unfair, especially for smaller firms and developing companies, as their chances to win big contracts are being reduced drastically.

The media are businesses whose main objective is profit maximization. It is also true that they are required by law to care for certain ethical standards but, in general, they show the contents that will attract a larger audience. They do not care on whether these contents can be giving visibility to candidates whose political proposals are bad for the welfare of citizens. I got this from someone.

Rus_ich [418]

Answer:

v = 5 m/s.

Explanation:

Given that,

Mass of a student, m = 55 kg

He traveled 200 m in 40 s

We need to find the student’s average speed. Total distance divided by total time is equal to average speed. It can be written as :

v=\dfrac{d}{t}\\\\v=\dfrac{200\ m}{40\ s}\\\\=5\ m/s

So, the average speed of the student is 5 m/s.

Liberty Eagle Enterprises has a policy statement making it clear that it does not tolerate sexual harassment. It set up an emplo
Anika [276]

Answer: Liberty Eagle Enterprises needs to make sure all the employees have read the policy statement about sexual harassment and it should also provide talks or workshops for employees to ensure that they understand the company's policies.

Explanation:

Most companies and enterprises have what is called a code of conduct or a code of ethics, which is a document that clearly states the way employees are expected to behave in the workplace.  This document must be made available to all employees upon signing a contract with the company and they must agree to abide by its rules.  Many companies will require new employees to sign a document stating that they have read and understood the company's policy but, this procedure is often not enough to prevent sexual harassment complaints.

The HR department must make sure that all employees are familiar with the policy to avoid complaints.  Some of the strategies that are often used to achieve this are:

  • Giving a general talk to employees highlighting the importance of knowing the company's code of conduct.
  • Giving a workshop to employees about sexual harassment to make sure they all understand what it means, what kind of behavior is considered inappropriate in the workplace, and what to do in case they are a victim of harassment.
