Answer:

Agoraphobia.

Explanation:

In this scenario, Liz is a 70-year-old woman who has developed an irrational fear of open, crowded places and avoids leaving her home. This fear began after Liz lost her husband. Therefore, Liz suffers from agoraphobia.

Agoraphobia is a type of anxiety disorder in which an individual has abnormal and persistent fear of open spaces, crowded places or any such situation that might cause them to feel trapped, unable to escape thereby causing them to panic, helpless or feel embarrassed.

Hence, anyone suffering from agoraphobia would detest going to open or crowded places and avoids leaving their house due to irrational fear of being trapped or access to escape is impossible.

Additionally, please note that agoraphobia is a mental condition which has no cure but can only be treated temporarily because it is usually chronic.

According to Sigmund Freud, the _____ stage is when experience is dominated by the pleasure, conflict, and frustration associate
svet-max [94.6K]

Answer:

According to Sigmund Freud, in the fallic stage, experience is dominated by the pleasure, conflict, and frustration associated with the genital region; this stage is also associated with powerful incestuous feelings of love, hate, jealousy, and conflict.

Explanation:

Between three and six years, the interests of the child are shifted to a new zone, the genital area. Throughout the phallic stage, children can examine their genitals, show interest in issues related to sexual relations. Although their ideas about adult sexuality are usually vague, erroneous, and very inaccurate, Freud believed that most children understand the essence of sexual relations more clearly than their parents suggest. Based on what they saw on television, on some phrases of their parentsб or on the explanations of other children, they draw a "primary" scene.

The dominant conflict at the phallic stage is what Freud called the Oedipus complex (a similar conflict for girls was called the Electra complex). Freud borrowed a description of this complex from Sophocles’ tragedy, Oedipus the King, in which Oedipus, the king of Thebes, inadvertently killed his father and entered into an incestuous relationship with his mother. When Oedipus realized what a terrible sin he had committed, he blinded himself. Freud regarded tragedy as a symbolic description of the greatest of human conflicts. From his point of view, this myth symbolizes the child's unconscious desire to possess a parent of the opposite sex and at the same time eliminate the parent of the same gender. Moreover, Freud found confirmation of the complex in the kinship and clan relationships that take place in various primitive societies.

Which type of text relies on the effectiveness of logical fallacies? (6 points)
lana66690 [7]

Arguments that appear to be legitimate but are really founded on poor reasoning are known as logical fallacies. They could be the product of unintentional thinking mistakes or purposely employed to deceive others.

Taking logical fallacies at its value might cause to base our conclusions on weak arguments and result in poor decisions. Some of the text relies on the effectiveness of logical fallacies are :

 • The Bandwagon Fallacy: Bandwagon fallacies, such as "three out of four individuals think X brand toothpaste cleans teeth best," are something that most of us expect to see in advertising; nonetheless, this fallacy may easily find its way into regular meetings and conversations.
 • The Appeal to Authority Fallacy: Having an authoritative person support your claim might be a strong supplement to an existing argument, but it cannot be the main tenet of your case. Something is not always real just because a powerful person thinks it to be true.
 • The False Dilemma Fallacy: The false dilemma fallacy claims that there are only two possible endings, which are mutually incompatible, rather than understanding that most (if not all) topics may be conceived of on a spectrum of options and perspectives.
 • The Hasty Generalization Fallacy: This mistake happens when someone makes broad assumptions based on insufficient data. In other words, they ignore plausible counterarguments and make assumptions about the truth of a claim that has some, but insufficient, supporting evidence.
 • The Slothful Induction Fallacy: This fallacy happens when there is enough logical evidence to conclude something is true, but someone refuses to admit it, instead attributing the result to coincidence or something completely unrelated.
 • The Correlation Fallacy: If two things seem to be linked, it doesn't always follow that one of them caused the other indisputablelly. Even while it can seem like a straightforward fallacy to recognise, it can be difficult to do so in actual practise, especially if you truly want to uncover a link between two pieces of information to support your claim.
