Area of Trapezoid = h(b1+b2/2)
 b1 and b2 are the lengths of each base and h is the height.

Area = 16(20+24/2)=352 Square Feet

352/20=17.6 Cans of paint.

Hope this helps and is correct, I haven't done this kind of math in a while.

Mr. Smith drew an obtuse triangle with side lengths of 4 cm, 6 cm, and 8 cm. In addition to being an obtuse triangle, what kind
Ulleksa [173]

Answer:

Scalene

Step-by-step explanation:

With this question, it's best to draw it out or we can use process of elimination.

We can rule out Right as the triangle is already obtuse (it can't be both).

We can rule out Equilateral as all the sides are not equal.

We can also rule out Isosceles as this triangle requires 2 sides to be equal, which clearly, they aren't.

Therefore, we are left with Scalene (C) which is your answer.

A scalene triangle has no identical sides or angles, and can be obtuse, right or acute.

Hope this helps,

Andre tried to solve the equation 1/4(x+12)=2 what was his mistake?
GarryVolchara [31]

Step-by-step explanation:

1. 1/4(x + 12)=2 - first isolate X'

         - 12 -12

2. 1/4(x) = -10  - 1/4  since its a fraction, you'll have to subtract not divide

-1/4    - 1/4

3. x = -10.25

Andre did the first step correctly, but on the second step he just divided 1.4 by -10, instead of subtract 1/4 from both sides.

Aleks [24]

Complete Question

Two geometrically similar jugs have volumes of 1000 cm³and 512 cm³.They have circular bases. The diameter of the base of the larger jug is 9 cm.

Calculate the diameter of the smaller jug.

Answer:

7.2 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve the above question,we have the proportion

Smaller volume/ Larger volume = (Smaller diameter/ Larger diameter)³

We are to find the smaller diameter

Hence our formula is give as

Cube root(Smaller volume/ Larger volume)= Smaller diameter/ Larger diameter

=cube root( 512/1000) = x/9

= 8/10 = x/9

Cross Multiply

10x = 8 × 9

10x = 72

x = 72/10

x = 7.2cm

Therefore, the diameter of the second jug is 7.2 cm
