Answer:

Pilgrimage (Hajj)

Explanation:

Profession of Faith (Shahada)

Prayer (Salat)

Alms (Zakat)

Fasting (Sawm)

Pilgrimage (Hajj).

These are the 5 pillars of Islam and is necessary for all Muslims.

The Shahada is said by a person that wants to convert to Islam and he/she says "There is only one God and Mohammed is his prophet". Once this is said before a Muslim witness, it is accepted that he is already a Muslim who have said these words.

Every good Muslim is required to give alms (Zakat) to the poor frequently. Thus, benevolence and philanthropy is highly encouraged.

Pilgrimage to Mecca is required from every good Muslim, to go to the holy city and pray.

Ritual prayer of Salat five times a day is also necessary for every good Muslim.

Muslims are also mandated to fast at intervals to show submission and reverence to the Almighty. One example of Muslim fast is Ramadan.

Compare the benefits and problems of creating power with wind power plants and nuclear power plants.
guapka [62]

Wind power has gain interest in the last decade because it is one of few very clean renewable energy sources. There are countries, like the US that have large open spaces with excellent winds that are favorable for building large wind parks. The only downside of this source is that wind parks take a large amount of space, and it the US those are even build on the Native American Sacred Ground. On the other hand Nuclear Power Plant, is less clean and more dangerous. Nuclear Plant does not emit any CO2 in the air, but it does have  a higly toxic waste and it is potentialy dangerous if the malfunction occurs. Nuclear waste is radioactive and it is the most dangerous for humans. In the countries that have less wind power, these plants are an option, as in France for example.

Explain why a group taking a vote on something is an example of direct democracy
Ainat [17]

The direct democracy or pure democracy it´s a form of democracy in which the people directly decides on policy initiatives, it differs from the representative democracy; the one that it´s currently established in the majority of the countries; because in that the people choose the representantives and they are those who decide the policies to carry on. In the representative democracy the people do not govern, it´s a common mistake to mix both concepts.

Two different forms of direct democracy are participatory democracy and deliberative democracy. The deliberative democracy is a form in which the deliberation it´s a central matter to the decisions and it is seen as an amalgalm of the direct and the representative democracies. It holds that for a democratic decision to be legitimate, it must be preceded by an authentic deliberation not a mere voting.

The participatory democracy is one that emphasizes the broad participation of everybody but it demands to the citizens to be more involved in the political participation.

I think that a group taking a vote on something is an example of a participatory democracy because everyone have the same power to create consensus and, at last it would win the iniciative that obtain more votes. If the example was a representative democracy then the group would have to vote for only one person to make a decision and then the group will follow the "leader" choice althought it goes against the majority of what the group wants.

I hope the answer to be useful for you. Regards.
