Answer:

equation ( 1.25x = 27.5 ) and x = 22.

Step-by-step explanation:

Shampoo bottle contains shampoo = 30\frac{1}{2} ounces = 30.5 ounces

If 3 ounces spilled out the remaining amount of shampoo = ( 30.5 - 3 ) = 27.5 ounces.

Every time he shampoos his dog, amount of shampoo required = 1\frac{1}{4} ounces = 1.25 ounce

If x is the number of times Nico can bathe his dog using the same bottle of shampoo then total amount used = (1.25) (x) ounces

Now remaining amount of shampoo = ttal amount used to shampoo the dog

(27.5) = (1.25x)

x= \frac{27.5}{1.25}  = 22 times

So answer will be equation ( 1.25x = 27.5 ) and x = 22.

How many liters of water must be added to 15 liters of 40 % sugar syrup to obtain 30 % sugar syrup?
Ivanshal [37]

Answer:

The amount of water need to be added is 5 liters.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's "x" be amount of water in (liters) added to 15 liters of 40% of sugar syrup.

Now find the amount of sugar syrup = 40% of 15

= 0.4 × 15

The amount of sugar syrup = 6 Liters

To dilute  30% we need to find amount of water to be added.

So,

30% of (15 + x) = 6

0.3 × (15 + x) = 6

4.5 + 0.3x = 6

0.3x = 6 - 4.5

0.3x = 1.5

Dividing both sides, by 0.3, we get

x = 5

So, the amount of water need to be added is 5 liters.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS PROBLEM
Klio2033 [76]

Answer:

V ≈ 2011 cm³

Step-by-step explanation:

The volume (V) of a cylinder is calculated as

V = area of base × perpendicular height

V = πr²h ( r is the radius and h the height )

Here r = 8 and h = 10, thus

V = π × 8² × 10

  = π × 64 × 10 = 640π ≈ 2011 cm³ ( to nearest whole number )

Find the inverse of the function.<br> f(x) = -3x + 7
LUCKY_DIMON [66]
F(x) = -3x + 7
y = -3x + 7
x = -3y + 7
-3y + 7 = x
-3y = x - 7
y = -1/3x + 7/3
f^-1(x) = -1/3x + 7/3
