Let the age of Ishaan be "x"

Given that ben is 12 years older than Ishaan

Therefore, age of ben = x + 12

Therefore, before three years,

Age of Ishaan before three years = x - 3

Age of Ben before three years = x + 12 - 3 = x + 9

From question,Three  years  ago, ben  was  4  times  as  old  as  ishaan

Age of Ben before three years = 4(Age of Ishaan before three years)

x + 9 = 4(x - 3)

x + 9 = 4x - 12

4x - x = 9 + 12

3x = 21

x = 7

Therefore age of ben now = x + 12 = 7 + 12 = 19

Thus Ben is 19 years old now
