A nut mixture of peanuts and pecans at a small fair is $1.00 per pound of peanuts and $4.25 per pound of pecans. Over the entire

day, 115 pounds of the nut mixture was sold for $358.75. If p is the number peanuts and n is the number of pecans, then the system of equations that models this scenario is: p+n=115p+4.25n=358.75 Determine the correct description and amount of pounds for peanuts and pecans that were sold.

Hello!

You can solve this algebraically

p + n = 115

p + 4.25n = 358.75

Subtract the two equations to eliminate p

-3.25n = -243.75

Divide both sides by -3.25

n = 75

Put n into the first equation

p + 75 = 115

Subtract 75 from both sides

p = 40

The answers are,

40 pounds of peanuts were sold
75 pounds of pecans were sold

Hope this helps!

Antoine Purchase 1.8 kg of apples and 315 dekagrams of oranges This was 1350 g more than the weight of bananas bridges what was
victus00 [196]

Answer: 3600 grams

Step-by-step explanation:

A dekagram means 10 grams.

1 kilogram = 1000 grams

Therefore the total number of grams when Antoine Purchase 1.8 kg of apples and 315 dekagrams of oranges will be:

= (1.8 × 1000) + (315 × 10)

= 1800 + 3150

= 4950 grams

Since this was 1350g more than the weight of bananas, the weight of the bananas Antonio purchased in grams will be:

= 4950 - 1350

= 3600 grams

Which of the following inequalities matches the graph? graph of an inequality with a solid horizontal line through the point 0,
Rashid [163]

Answer:

y\geq -1

Step-by-step explanation:

The inequality has the attached picture as its graph.. The inequality passes through (0,-1) and is a horizontal line. This means the inequality has the form y < b or y > b where b is the y-coordinate. Since the \shading is above the line then the values must be greater than -1. It is also a solid line so the inequality is equal to. The inequality is y\geq -1
