1. The right answer is Prokaryotes.

In biology and taxonomy, a prokaryotic organism is a prokaryotic cell, a unicellular organism lacking nucleus and organelles whose unique DNA molecule forms a circle or a helix. It is a cellular microorganism in which the chromosomes are not enclosed in a nucleus; for example a bacterium. The exception is ribosomes.

2. The right answer is Lysogenic infection (Virus latency or persistence).

Viral latency is a period in which complete copies of viral genetic information persist in an infected host cell, but there is no continuous production of infectious virus particles.

The genetic material of the virus at this stage is embedded in the genome of the host cell in the form of DNA sequences. During the latency, the whole genome of the virus is in the cell, and its expression is very limited.

it is denoted as the lysogenic part of the life cycle of the virus (like HIV and Herpes).

3. The right answer is Spiral bacteria

Some bacteria are helical. They are Spirillas if the form is invariable and rigid, Spirochaetes if the body is flexible and can change shape. The great diversity of forms is determined by the cell wall and the cytoskeleton. The different forms of bacteria can influence their ability to acquire nutrients, attach to surfaces, swim in a liquid and escape predation.

4. The right answer is Endospore

The endospore (or spore) is a structure that forms within the cytoplasm of certain species of bacteria when the environmental conditions are unfavorable (nutritive stress, desiccation, heat ...).

The spore contains especially nucleic acids (DNA and RNA) and proteins. The cytoplasm is dehydrated. The spore is surrounded by a spore wall, a cortex (composed of a specific peptidoglycan and calcium dipicolinate), a double tunic consisting of fibrous proteins. The outermost layer is the exosporium.

Many of the organisms in the ocean are nutrient-limited. if you wanted to investigate this phenomenon, one reasonable approach w
Mamont248 [21]
None of the provided options are reasonable. comparing nutrient concentrations between the photic zone and the benthic zone can not tell you whether differences in concentrations between the photic and benthic zone are due to uptake by phytoplankton or because nutrients are sinking to the sea bottom and ocean stratification is preventing mixing. The approach of contrasting nutrient uptake by autotrophs at different locations under different temperatures would not provide useful information on limiting nutrients. but rather uptake rates at different temperatures. It is likely that experimentally enriching some areas of the ocean and compare their productivity to that of untreated areas can provide an indication of limiting nutrients, but this is not advisable, as it would have to be done on a large scale, and one cannot be sure of the ecological consequences. Also, because it would not be a controlled experiment, other factors could create 'noise' in the data. The last option, observe antarctic ocean productivity from year to year to see if it changes, also does not help, as there is no correlation between nutrient concentrations using this approach. The best approaches would be either the last approach, but with the additional monitoring of nutrient concentrations, or under a controlled laboratory experiment.

A researcher decides to test the scientific validity of the common phrase "an apple a day keeps the doctor away". what would be
vovikov84 [41]

The hypothesis would be: Consumption of a single apple every day will reduce the number of visits to the doctor.

The hypothesis is a proposed explanation that is a starting point for further investigations. So, in this case, we assume that eating one apple a day will keep us healthy, without the need for the doctor.

What types of specialized cells and tissues do flatworms have in their excretory and
erastova [34]

Answer:

Explanation:

The flatworms are acoelomate organisms that include many free-living and parasitic forms. Most of the flatworms are classified in the superphylum Lophotrochozoa, which also includes the mollusks and annelids. The Platyhelminthes consist of two lineages: the Catenulida and the Rhabditophora. The Catenulida, or “chain worms” is a small clade of just over 100 species. These worms typically reproduce asexually by budding. However, the offspring do not fully detach from the parents and therefore resemble a chain in appearance. All of the remaining flatworms discussed here are part of the Rhabditophora. Many flatworms are parasitic, including important parasites of humans. Flatworms have three embryonic tissue layers that give rise to surfaces that cover tissues (from ectoderm), internal tissues (from mesoderm), and line the digestive system (from endoderm). The epidermal tissue is a single layer cells or a layer of fused cells (syncytium) that covers a layer of circular muscle above a layer of longitudinal muscle. The mesodermal tissues include mesenchymal cells that contain collagen and support secretory cells that secrete mucus and other materials at the surface. The flatworms are acoelomates, so their bodies are solid between the outer surface and the cavity of the digestive system.
