Answer:

Human eyes offer an extensive and beautiful color palette. However, it is well known that eye color is mainly determined for genetic reasons.

From the color of the parents' eyes to that of the great-grandparents, one can predict what color the eyes of their descendants will be. Nevertheless, you should never forget that there can always be some surprise.

Certainly, you should know that every human being has two types of genes: dominant and recessive. Both influence the color of the eyes and hair of the individual.

Dominant genes are the strongest, as they exert the most influence on determining the color of the baby's eyes. On the other hand, recessive genes are weaker but do not cancel each other out. This means that when chromosomes come together after fertilization, one allele will prevail over the other.

Let's look at the case where the father has blue eyes and the mother brown eyes. In this circumstance, there would be little chance of the child having blue eyes, as the brown phenotype is dominant over blue.

In this case, both parents must have blonde hair & brown eyes & they both carry the recessive gene for blue eyes.

Father:

B b - offers dominant and recessive gene

Mother:

B b - offers dominant and recessive gene

Brown-eyed children

How does a marshmallow contain carbon?

Hi,

I think that you're missing some options, but here they are (let me know if I'm right!

-A population of wolves was introduced
-The amount of disease in the deer population decreased
-More grass was planted

Now, if the gene diversity decreased, it means that a lot of deer died. This could happen because wolves were introduced -this is the correct answer, and the wolves ate some deer.

So were is the genetic material find in a prokaryotic cell
tiny-mole [99]
Endomembrane system -- not in prokaryotes
cytoskeleton -- a structural part of cytoplasm sometimes occurrent in prokaryotes
mitochondria -- not in prokaryotes
nucleus -- if this is a "membrane-bound" nucleus, then definitely not in prokaryotes
cytoplasm -- this is the fluid that houses everything in the cell membrane
flagella -- little "tail" for locomotion, so no
cilia -- similar to flagella, little feelers usually for locomotion
ribosomes -- these make protein using amino acids
chloroplasts -- not in prokaryotes
membrane -- just a casing surrounding a cell or organelle
organelles -- general word for the parts of a cell that perform various functions
cell membrane -- just the casing for the cell, not where genetic material's located
nucleoid --- ding ding ding :-) this is it; a nucleoid is the genetic material which is loosely existing in the cytoplasm of a prokaryotic cell

A type of lymphocyte called a(n) ________ detects cells with abnormal surface proteins and kills them.
kirill [66]

A type of lymphocyte called NK cell detects cells with abnormal surface proteins and kills them.

What are lymphocytes?

One variety of white blood cell is the lymphocyte. They are crucial to the functioning of your immune system, which aids in the body's defense against sickness and infection. An extensive network of immune cells, lymph nodes, lymph tissue, and lymphatic organs makes up your immune system. Immune cells include lymphocytes. The two primary categories of lymphocytes are:

T lymphocytes (T cells): T cells direct your body's immune response and actively hunt down and destroy cancerous and infected cells.

B cells, or B lymphocytes: The B cell produces antibodies. Proteins called antibodies hunt down viruses, bacteria, and other foreign invaders.

Your body's immune system uses lymphocytes to combat cancer and invading viruses and germs (antigens). Your immune system benefits from lymphocytes' assistance in retaining every antigen it encounters. Some lymphocytes develop into memory cells after an encounter. Memory cells detect an antigen and reactbwhen they come into contact with it again. You don't contract illnesses like measles or chickenpox repeatedly because of this. Additionally, it explains why some diseases can be avoided through vaccination.
