The equation is y=2x+1 because the slope is 2 and the y-intercept is 1

For part B I can't graph it for you but I can try to help. Since the y-intercept is 4, one of the points is (0,4). Then to find other points, since the slope is 1/2, you move up one box and over two to get another points. So one more point is (2,5). Then connect the points with a line.

I think C just means to write out the equations so you can solve them in the next part. To solve them you can do elimination.

(y=2x+1)-(y=1/2x+4)
0=3/2x-3
3=3/2x
x=2 (multiply 3 by 2/3)

2. Claire drinks 64 fluid ounces of water o day. How many gallons of water does she drink in a week?
Ymorist [56]

Answer:

3.5 gallons a week

Step-by-step explanation:

Well 64 gl Oz is basically half a gallon. So half a gallon of water a day would result in 0.5*7 (7 days in a week) and you would get 3.5 gallons.

I need help ASAP on this algebra question
Misha Larkins [42]

Answer:

As x goes to negative infinity, g(x) goes to zero.

As x goes to positive infinity, g(x) goes to zero.

(So the answer is the second option)

Step-by-step explanation:

We have the function g(x)=\frac{1}{x^2}

First, let's look at what happens when we input smaller and smaller numbers

g(-10)=\frac{1}{100} \\\\g(-100)=\frac{1}{10000}

As we can see, as we input smaller and smaller numbers, the answer gets smaller.

Eventually, these fractions will be so small that they will get closer and closer to zero.

This same thing applies to larger and larger numbers, so the end behavior of each side will both be zero.
