<em>∙•❁</em>We are going to solve this step by step:

\frac{13}{56} + \frac{5}{7}

\frac{13}{56} + \frac{40}{56}

\frac{13+40}{56}

<em>∙•❁</em>Your final answer is:

\frac{53}{56}

To do this, you have to change it into common denominators.  The common denominator is 56, in this case.  Multiply 5 by 8 because 56 divided by 7 is 8.  There fore you would be adding 13/56 and 40/56.  You would be 53/56.   This is already in simplest form.

Mr. Robinson has raised $900 for his St. Baldricks campaign to fund childhood cancer research. This is 60% of his fundraising go
Alexus [3.1K]

Answer:

1500

Step-by-step explanation:

STEP 1 900 = 60% × Y

STEP 2 900 =

60

100

× Y

Multiplying both sides by 100 and dividing both sides of the equation by 60 we will arrive at:

STEP 3 Y = 900 ×

100

60

STEP 4 Y = 900 × 100 ÷ 60

STEP 5 Y = 1500

identify an equation in point slope form for the line perpendicular to the y=-1/2x+11 that passes through (4,-8). a. y+8=1/2(x-4
Solnce55 [7]

Answer:

d. y+8=2(x-4)

Step-by-step explanation:

There are 2 important parts to this question. First, understanding which slopes are perpendicular. The negative reciprocal of a number will be perpendicular to it. So, since the original slope is -1/2 the new slope should be 2.

Then, remember what the point-slope formula is. The point-slope formula is: y-y_{2}=m(x-x_{2}). So if you plug in the point and slope the new equation looks like, y--8=2(x-4). Then, simplify for the final answer of y+8=2(x-4).

Identify the area of the trapezoid.
Vlad1618 [11]

Option B: The area of the trapezoid is 157.5 m²

Explanation:

We need to determine the area of the trapezoid.

The area of the trapezoid can be determined by the formula,

Area=\frac{h}{2} (a+b)

where h is the height, a and b are the base of the trapezoid.

From the figure, it is obvious that a=14 , b=7 and h=15

Substituting these values in the formula, we have,

Area=\frac{15}{2} (14+7)

Simplifying the terms, we have,

Area=\frac{15}{2} (21)

Multiplying the terms in the numerator, we have,

Area=\frac{315}{2}

Dividing, we get,

Area= 157.5 \ m^2

Thus, the area of the trapezoid is 157.5 m²

Hence, Option B is the correct answer.
