Answer:

The correct option is A.

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that the probability of exactly 44 green marbles.

We need to use the continuity correction and describe the region of the normal distribution that corresponds to the indicated probability.

A continuity correction is an adjustment that is made when a discrete distribution is approximated by a continuous distribution.

For example: In discrete x=7, then in continuous 6.5<x<7.5. It means we need to subtract 0.5 in the number to find the lower limit and we need to add 0.5 in the given number to find the upper limit.

Similarly,

In discrete x=44, then in continuous

44-0.5<x<44+0.5

43.5<x<44.5

The area between 43.5 and 44.5. Therefore the correct option is A.

If i get 14/20 on a test what percent would that be? 30 POINTS!!!!! 5 STARS AND A THANKS TOO
IgorC [24]
To figure out the percentage you got correct, we need to set up fractional proportions.

We already have one fraction, 14/20.
Since we are looking for a percentage, we need to have a maximum total percentage that represents the total score.
100% is the maximum percentage for any total.
So we have our fractional proportions set;
14/20 : x/100

To solve for this, we need to cross multiply the numerator (top number) of one fraction by the denominator (bottom number) of the other fraction.

Let's try this!

14 • 100 = 1400
20 • x = 20x

Now that we have our products, set them as an equation.

20x = 1400.

To solve for x, we need to divide both sides by 20.

20x / 20 = x
1400 / 20 = 70.

You are left with:

x = 70.

Your answer is:

If you get 14/20 on a test, you would get 70% of the questions correct.

I hope this helps!

Anyone know what i did wrong for this problem?
Naddika [18.5K]

Answer:

I think that instead of the x beside the 5 (5x) it has to be a g. cuz in the next section it says: Answer for g variable. (g =...)

so instead of: 48 + 5x = 68.50

try: 48 + 5g = 68.50

hope it helps! have a good rest of ur day!
