Answer:

32 − 4i

Step-by-step explanation:

Apply the FOIL method.

(2 + 3i)(4 − 8i) = (2)(4) + (2)(−8i) + (3i)(4) + (3i)(−8i) = 32 − 4i

Answer:

x=54

Step-by-step explanation:

2x + 2 = 3x - 52

subtract 2x from both sides, now u have:

2 = x - 52

add 52 from both sides, now u have

54 = x

Suppose f⃗ (x,y,z)=⟨x,y,4z⟩f→(x,y,z)=⟨x,y,4z⟩. let w be the solid bounded by the paraboloid z=x2+y 2 z=x2+y2 and the plane z=9.z

\mathbf F(x,y,z)=\langle x,y,4z\rangle

By the divergence theorem, the surface integral taken over S,

\displaystyle\iint_S\mathbf F\,\mathrm dS

is equivalent to the triple integral of the divergence of \mathbf F over W, the space bounded S,

\displaystyle\iiint_W(\nabla\cdot\mathbf F)\,\mathrm dV

We have

\nabla\cdot\mathbf F=\dfrac{\partial x}{\partial x}+\dfrac{\partial y}{\partial y}+\dfrac{\partial(4z)}{\partial z}=1+1+4=6

The latter integral is then given by

\displaystyle6\iiint_W\mathrm dV=6\int_{|x|\le3}\int_{|y|\le3}\int_{x^2+y^2\le z\le9}\mathrm dz\,\mathrm dy\,\mathrm dx=648

Help me? Can't figure it out
Simora [160]
Pi = 3. Area of a circle = pi×r squared.

R is radius, and the radius of that circle is 11 m. therefore, 3.14×11 squared will give you your answer. Don't forget, exponent before multiplication

11^2 = 121
121×3 = 363 That's the area of the big circle.

Now, 11÷2 gives you the radius of the small circles. you get 4.5
4.5^2 = 20.25
20.25*3 = 60.75

That's the area of ONE small circle. double it and you have the area of 2.

60.75×2= 121.5

Now just subtract the area of the small ones from the area of the big one to find the area of the shaded region.

363-121.5= 241.5

Now, you're done!
