Answer:

The weight one can dry to get 140 grams is 700 grams

Step-by-step explanation:

Fresh grapes looses 80 percent of it weight while drying . To get 140 grams of dried grape we need to know the weight of the fresh grape.

Let the fresh grape weight = y grams

80% of the fresh grape weight will be =  80/100 × y grams

The weight of fresh grape you should dry to get 140 grams = Fresh grape weight - 80% of the fresh grape weight

140 = y - 80/100 × y

140 = y - 0.8 y

140 = 0.2y

divide both sides by 0.2

y = 140/0.2

y = 700 grams

PLEASE HELP ASAP 25 PTS + BRAINLIEST TO RIGHT/BEST ANSWER
MAVERICK [17]

Answer:

(-2,-5)

Step-by-step explanation:

y = 2x-1

3x-y = -1

We can use substitution

3x - (2x-1) = -1

Distribute the minus sign

3x -2x+1 = -1

x +1 =-1

Subtract 1 from each side

x+1-1 = -1-1

x=-2

Now we need to find y

y = 2x-1

y = 2(-2) -1

y = -4-1

y = -5

(-2,-5)
