Answer:

b. forward mutation, suppressor mutation

Explanation:

When the nucleotide sequence of an organism is altered, it is called as mutation. It can be caused by DNA damage or replication errors. In forward mutation, the wild type allele is converted to a mutant version such that the gene product is non functional or its not produced at all. Suppressor mutation is the second mutation which reverses the phenotypic effects of the previous mutation. This process is called as synthetic rescue.

Since here gene X was converted into a mutant form by the mutation, it had undergone forward mutation. When gene Y was mutated, the function of gene X was restored which ultimately also restored the phenotype hence it is an example of suppressor mutation.

Which statement about how organisms depend on abiotic factors in an aquatic ecosystem is not true?
Nat2105 [25]
The answer is a. most living organisms can survive in environments with several different temperature and salinity levels.

Aquatic plants and animals depend on dissolved oxygen for respiration. The other abiotic factors that impact their life in an aquatic ecosystem are temperature, salinity, and flow and they determine the quality of their life. It is not true that most living organisms can survive in environments with several different temperature and salinity levels. On the contrary, a few species can live in environments with several different temperature and salinity levels, for example, some bacteria. Describe how greenhouse gases contribute to climate change
vladimir1956 [14]
Greenhouse gases arise naturally, and are part of the make-up of our atmosphere. Earths conditions are just right to allow life, including us, to flourish. Part of what makes Earth so amenable is the naturally-arising greenhouse effect, which keeps the planet at a friendly 15 °C (59 °F) on average. But in the last century or so, humans have been interfering with the energy balance of the planet, mainly through the burning of fossil fuels that give off additional carbon dioxide into the air. The level of carbon dioxide in Earth’s atmosphere has been rising consistently for decades and traps extra heat near the surface of the Earth, causing temperatures to rise.

Lisa [10]
This is a normal variation due to stress of labor
The level of white blood cells in the body vary due to the amount of external stress that is placed on the body. The level indicated, 22,000/mm³ is within this range, which extends up to 30,000/mm³ for women after delivery. Because this is well within the normal range, there is no need to retest the value obtain neither is there a need to administer antibiotics.
