Mathematics

Answer:

The function shown by the graph is  f(x)=1+\frac{1}{2}\sqrt[3]{x-2} ⇒ 1st answer

Step-by-step explanation:

<em>To find the function chose two points from the graph and substitute their x-coordinates in each function, the right function we give you the corresponding y-coordinates</em>

From the figure:

∵ The graph passes through points (2 , 1) and (3 , 1.5)

∵ f(x)=1+\frac{1}{2}\sqrt[3]{x-2}

∵ x = 2

∴ f(2)=1+\frac{1}{2}\sqrt[3]{2-2}

∴ f(2)=1+\frac{1}{2}\sqrt[3]{0}

∴ f(2)=1+0

∴ f(2) = 1 ⇒ same value of y-coordinate

∵ x = 3

∴ f(3)=1+\frac{1}{2}\sqrt[3]{3-2}

∴ f(3)=1+\frac{1}{2}\sqrt[3]{1}

∴ f(3)=1+\frac{1}{2}

∴ f(3) = 1.5 ⇒ same value of y-coordinate

∴ The function shown by the graph is  f(x)=1+\frac{1}{2}\sqrt[3]{x-2}

Explain how to use the break apart strategy to find 247+358
KIM [24]
1. Set up the long addition.
  2 4 7
+3 5 8
_______

2. Calculate 7+8, which is 15.
since 15 is two-digit, we carry the first digit 1 to the next column.
      1
   2 4 7
+ 3 5 8
________
          5

3. Calculate 4+5, which is 9. Now add the carry digit of 1, which is 10. Since 10 is two-digit, we carry the first digit 1 to the next column.
   1 1
   2 4 7
+ 3 5 8
________
       0 5

4. Calculate 2+3, which is 5. Now add the carry digit of 1, which is 6.
      1 1
      2 4 7
    +3 5 8
    ______
      6 0 5

5. Therefore, 247 + 358 = 605.

2. The store bought a pair of shoes for $60, and sold
seropon [69]

Answer:

33.3%

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data

Cost of shoes= $60

Selling price = $100

% markup = (selling-cost/cost)*100

% markup = (100-75/75)*100

% markup = (25/75)*100

% markup = (0.33333333333)*100

% markup =33.3%

Hence the markup is 33.3%

For what value does x does 3^2x= g^3x-4<br> A)1<br> B)2<br> C)3<br> D)4
netineya [11]
The question has an error because the letter g does not make sense in the context.

I will assume that the g is really the number 9.

In that case, the equation to solve would be:

3^{2x} =  9^{3x-4}

You can solve for x following these steps:

1) make      9=3^2

=>

3^{2x} = 3^{2(3x-4)}

2) Given that the basis are equal the exponents have to be equal =>

2x = 2(3x - 4)

3) Solve:

2x = 6x - 8

6x - 2x = 8

4x = 8

x = 8/4

x = 2 which is the option B) which leads me to think that a 9 instead of g in the equation should be right.

Under that assumption, the answer is the option B) x = 2.
