<h2>The following are the similarities and differences between different approaches towards psychology: </h2><h2> </h2><h3><u>Cognitive approach and Biological approach - </u></h3>
  • Similarity: Both approaches are scientific in nature. In the Cognitive approach, testing and falsification of theories are possible, whereas, in the Biological approach, measurement of variables can be done objectively.
  • Difference: The Cognitive approach towards psychology is concerned with the functioning of the brain and its activities, whereas, the Biological approach is concerned with genetics, physiology, endocrinology and their relations with psychology.

<h3>Humanistic approach and Sociocultural approach: </h3>
  • Similarity: Both Humanistic and Sociocultural approaches are related to the behavior that humans exhibit.
  • Difference: The Humanistic approach towards psychology proposes that free will is the decisive factor in the shaping of ones personality. On the other hand, the Sociocultural approach says that external societal factors like culture and ethnicity play a major role in the shaping up of humans.
