The items are all very little and proportional to one another. However, some of the things are much smaller than the rest in order to give the illusion of depth. Composition: the brighter colors seem to explode off the paper, whilst the lighter colors seem to fall back; virtually all of the items are arranged vertically so that the eye moves up and down when looking at the painting; there is a balance of form and color, and there are practically no horizontal lines. It is truly up to the observer, how they view the art and how they interpret it since there are a lot of different messages that the artist may be attempting to express to the people who are looking at it.
