Answer: Areas = 139m²

Cost = Rs3475

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of a square wall of xm= xm².The area of the 4 walls = 4x²m²

Therefore, since the height = 6m, the other side = 6m, the area = 6x6=36m².

Area of the Four walls = 36m²x 4

= 144m². Biu the areas of the four walls excluding the door and window. Area of the door = 2m x 1m= 2m², and area of the window = 3m x 1m = 3m². Total area of the door and window = 2m² + 3m² = 5m².

Therefore, the total area of the four walls excluding the door and window = 144m² - 5m²

= 139m².

The amount required to carpeting the room will be

Let the number of square room carpeted at Rs25 which equals Rs8100 = xm²

Therefore, to know the number of square covered by this amount,= Rs8100/Rs25 = 324m²

If 324m² = Rs8100

1m² = 8100/324

139m²= 8100/324 x 139

= Rs3475

6 identical toys weigh 1.8 kg how much would 1 toy weigh using grams
kaheart [24]

Solution:

Given that, 6 identical toys weigh 1.8 kg

we know that, 1kilogram = 1000 grams

6 identical toys weigh in grams

1.8 * 1000 =1800

6 identical toys weigh 1800 grams

then calculating the weight of 1 toy by unitary method ,

weight of 1 toy =\frac{1800}{6} = 300 grams.

Hence, 1 toy would weigh 300 grams.

Ted and Robin each gave a basket of green apples to their friend Lily. Ted’s basket contains 5 apples, each weighing ounces. Rob
Blababa [14]

<u>Question</u>:

Ted and Robin each gave a basket of green apples to their friend Lily. Ted’s basket contains 5 apples, each weighing 7 1/4 ounces. Robin’s basket contains 6 apples, each weighing 6 1/2 ounces. Whose basket is heavier and by how much?

<u>Answer</u>:

Robin’s basket is heavier than Ted’s basket  by  2.75 ounces

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

<u>Given</u>:

Ted’s basket contains  = 5 apples

Weight of each apple in Ted’s basket = 7 1/4 ounces

Robin’s basket contains  = 6 apples

Weight of each apple in Robin’s basket =  6 1/2 ounces

<u>To Find:</u>

Whose basket is heavier and by how much?

<u>Solution:</u>

<u>Step 1: Finding the weight of Ted’s basket </u>

Weight of Ted’s basket  = Number of apple in the basket X  Weight of each apple

Weight of Ted’s basket  = 5 \times 7\frac{1}{4}

Weight of Ted’s basket  = 5 \times \frac{29}{4}

Weight of Ted’s basket  = \frac{145}{4}

Weight of Ted’s basket  =  36.25 --------------------------------(1)

<u>Step 2: Finding the weight of Robin’s basket </u>

Weight of Robin’s basket  = Number of apple in the basket X  Weight of each apple

Weight of Robin’s basket  = 6 \times 6\frac{1}{2}

Weight of Robin’s basket  = 6 \times \frac{13}{2}

Weight of Robin’s basket  = \frac{78}{2}

Weight of Robin’s basket  = 39 ounces--------------------------(2)

<u>Comparing equation (1) and (2)</u>

39 - 36.25 = 2.75 ounces

Weight of Robin’s basket  >  Weight of Ted’s basket

You have a credit card with a balance of $754.43 at a 13.6% APR. You have $300.00 available each month to save or pay down your
pochemuha
 <span>B(n) = A(1 + i)^n - (P/i)[(1 + i)^n - 1]

where B is the balance after n payments are made, i is the monthly interest rate, P is the monthly payment and A is the initial amount of loan.

We require B(n) = 0...i.e. balance of 0 after n months.

so, 0 = A(1 + i)^n - (P/i)[(1 + i)^n - 1]

Then, with some algebraic juggling we get:

n = -[log(1 - (Ai/P)]/log(1 + i)

Now, payment is at the beginning of the month, so A = $754.43 - $150 => $604.43

Also, i = (13.6/100)/12 => 0.136/12 per month

i.e. n = -[log(1 - (604.43)(0.136/12)/150)]/log(1 + 0.136/12)

so, n = 4.15 months...i.e. 4 payments + remainder

b) Now we have A = $754.43 - $300 = $454.43 so,

n = -[log(1 - (454.43)(0.136/12)/300)]/log(1 + 0.136/12)

so, n = 1.54 months...i.e. 1 payment + remainder
