6 0

Answer: 8.50

Step-by-step explanation: I like to turn fractions into deciamls.

5/6 = .83  (I get 0.83 by 5 divided by 6)

2/3 = .66  (I also got 0.66 by 2 divided by 3)

.8333 + .66 = 149 = 1.49333

5 + 2 = 7 + 1.49 = 8.49

Now round up 8.49333 and you'll get 8.50 or 8 ¹/²

Let me know if I'm wrong, have a good day!

Answer:

7 1/6

Step-by-step explanation:

you have to turn the mixed number into an improper fraction first before adding. so by doing so you have to multiply the whole number in by the denominator (bottom number in fraction) then finaly add the numerator (the top number in fraction) also your denomiantor must be the same as in the mixed fraction and in the improper fraction. So now you have an improper fraction of 35/6 + 8/3 (NOTICE HOW I HAVE THE SAME DENOMINATORS).

Now find a common denominator.

35/6 +8/3

6 can go into 6 and 3 can go into 6 so the new denominator for both fractions is 6!!

35/6 +8/6= 43/6

now we simply ADD the numerators together an get 43/6

the last step is to turn it back into a mixed fraction.

6 goes into 43 7 times with one left over,

so it is 7 1/6

we put the left over number for the numerator, the same denominator as before for the denominator, and the 7 for the whole number because that is the biggest number that can go into 43.

Hoped this helped.

If you have any questions let me know (:

What is the molar mass of tetraethyl lead, Pb(C2H5)4? show your work please
Mars2501 [29]
M(Pb(C2H5)4 = M(PB)*1 + 4*( M(C)*2 + M(H)*5)
M(Pb(C2H5)4 = 207.2 + 4(12.0*2 + 1.0*5)
M(Pb(C2H5)4 = 207.2 + 4(28.0 + 5)
M(Pb(C2H5)4 = 207.2 + 4*33
M(Pb(C2H5)4 = 207.2 + 132
M(Pb(C2H5)4 = 339.2 g/mol

Hope this helps !

An article measured speeds of vehicles on several roads in the state of Kansas. On South Cedar Niles, 73 vehicles were observed,
kifflom [539]

Answer:

The sample supports the hypothesis that more than half of the vehicles in South Cedar Niles exceed the speed limit.

p-value = 0.00092

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve this problem, we run a hypothesis test about the population proportion.

Proportion in the null hypothesis \pi_0 = 0.5

Sample size (n) = 73

Sample proportion (p) = 49/73 = 0.6712

H0: \pi_0 = 0.5

Ha: \pi_0 \geq 0.5

Test statistic = (p - pi)\sqrt{n} / \sqrt{\pi_0 (1-\pi_0)}

Calculated statistic = (0.6712 - 0.5)\sqrt{73} / \sqrt {0.5(1-0.5)} = 2.9255

p-value = 0.00092

Since, p - value is less than or equal to 0.05, the null hypothesis must be rejected. The sample supports the hypothesis that more than half of the vehicles in South Cedar Niles exceed the speed limit.
