Answer:

48 liters

Step-by-step explanation:

First container = x

Second container has twice as much oil.

Second container = 2x

13 liters of oil was used from first container.

x - 13

7 liters of oil was used from the second container.

2x - 7

Second container has 3 times more oil than the first one.

2x - 7 = 3(x - 13)

x - 7 = 3(x - 13)

x - 7 = 3x - 39

2x = 32

x = 16

First container = 16 liters

second container = 16 x 2 = 32 liters

Total = 16 + 32 = 48 liters

Mrs. Santos baked 25 cookies. 3 fifths of the cookies were oatmeal. How many oatmeal cookies did Mrs. Santos bake?
grigory [225]

Answer: 15 oatmeal cookies.

Step-by-step explanation:

There were 25 cookies baked.

Out of these, 3/5 are oatmeal cookies.

The amount of actual oatmeal cookies is:

= fraction of oatmeal cookies * total number of cookies

= 3/5 * 25

= 75 / 5

= 15 oatmeal cookies.

Answer:

9. B 10. C 11. A 12. C

Step-by-step explanation:

Greater rate of change simply means slope! Which ever of the functions has the greatest slope (positive or negative)

9.

a. The graph shows the line going up by 4, and across by 3, or, a slope of 4/3

b. the table is increasing by 10, so, 10/1

c. -6 = -6/1, out of all of these, we divide by the denominators and determine which number is the greatest, ignoring whether or not the value is positive or negative

a. 4/3 = 1.333333

b. 10/1 = 10

c. -6/1 = -6 (remember, ignore the sign)

In this case, B is the greatest number, therefore, it has the greatest rate of change

10.

a. -3 / 3 = -1 (ignore the negative!)

b. 2/1 = 2

c. 4/1 = 4

In this case, C, is the greatest number, meaning its rate of change is highest

11.

a. -1/3 = -0.333333 (ignore the yk what!)

b. 0.25/1 = 0.25

c. -1/5 = -0.20 (you already know)

In this case, a, is the greatest number, meaning, its rate of change is the highest

12.

a. 0/1 = 0

b. 0.5/1 = 0.5

c. 2/1 = 2

In this case, c, is the greatest number, meaning, its rate of change is the highest.

Hope this helps!! <3
