When you do this seemingly simple problem, what is the answer you get?
bagirrra123 [75]
Well, you would have to use, "PEMDAS", (Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, & Subtraction), which are the order of operations to go by.
So first, we do the stuff in parentheses, we'll do 1 + 2 which = 3, and the parentheses around it will = to multiplying 3 times the answer of 6 divided by 2.
So since on the order of operations Addition & Subtraction, and Multiplication & Division could go from any order they appear on in the problem, we'll NOW do 6 divided by 2 which equals 3, times the three from above, which will = 9, so your final answer is 9. =)
I hope I helped! =D

The number of pages that Ana, Hillary, Roger, and Juan can read in a day is shown below:
lisov135 [29]
The answer should be Juan. If you turn each of the percentages into fractions and then multiply by the total number of pages, you would get that Ana reads 6.9 pages (0.15*46), Hillary reads 7.92 pages (0.11*72), Roger reads 8.16 pages (0.12*68), and Juan reads 9.66 pages (0.14*69).
