Answer: Culture is the totality of the way of life of a particular people in a society

Why it is important to become Familiar with other cultures

1)It promotes business transaction;A business unit is suppose to reach out to different cultures.The knowledge of other people's culture will allow business transaction to go smoothly if you are dealing with people outside your culture.

2)It enhances effective communication;Learning other people's languages enhances effective communication.When you leave your comfort zone,you meet different people from different culture.An individual will not be functional if there is language barrier in a new enviroment he finds himself.

3)Exposure to new experience;Life will be boring if you are streamlined to your culture.It is always fun to move round the world to see people doing differently .This will make you learn more things and see things in a different dimension.

Non verbal communication is the process of sending and receiving messages without using spoken or written words.

Examples of non verbal communication.

1)Facial expression.

2)Hand signs.

3)Body gestures and movement.
