Golden jackals, once they have been expelled from a pack, will trail a tiger to feed on the remains of its kills.   In predication, one organism kills and consumes another. Predication provides energy to prolong the life and promote the reproduction of the organism that does the killing, the predator, to the detriment of the organism being consumed, the prey. Predication influences organisms at two ecological levels. Intersperse competition often leads to extinction. The species that is less well adapted may get fewer of the resources that both species need. As a result, members of that species are less likely to survive, and the species may go extinct.
