Answer:

Changes in transportation have decreased the amount of time it takes to trade goods around the world. Early transportation methods required goods to be shipped slowly by land or by sea, and products could take months or years to travel around the world. Later transportation methods could also make shipping more efficient by allowing products to be traded in convenient ways. Intermodal shipping allows goods to be shipped in containers that can easily switch between different forms of transport. As a result, the cost of shipping has decreased greatly, making importing and exporting more worthwhile.

Which battle was considered the high tide of the Confederacy, the point at which the Confederate army was last a major presence
murzikaleks [220]

Answer:

The high-water mark of the Confederacy or high tide of the Confederacy refers to an area on Cemetery Ridge near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, marking the farthest point reached by Confederate forces during Pickett's Charge on July 3, 1863.[1] Similar to a high water mark of water, the term is a reference to arguably the Confederate Army's best chance of achieving victory in the war. The line of advance was east of "The Angle" stone wall.
