The Great Compromise was the compromise made at the Constitutional Convention that would help to solve the issue of representation in Congress. This compromise included two elements.

1) The number of representatives from each state in the House of Representatives would be determined by a state's population.

2) Each state would have 2 representatives in the Senate, regardless of population.

This is still the structure we have in our government today.
