Hi, I’m glad I can help you today! This question asks you for a unit rate, a unit rate is how much something costs(in this case an avocado) that only contains one of it(one avocado!)

We have to approach this question by asking ourselves, okay, so how do we get the unit rate? Well it’s really simple.

In order to get the unit rate, we have to divide how much it costs by how much of it there is!

So let’s divide 4/3 which is 1 and 1/3!! And how much is that? Well if you know your fractions you know 1/3 is 0.3333333333!!! So it’s approximately 1.3$ per avocado! And which answer does it say 1.3$, it’s A! If you still don’t get it, I’m so sorry, hopefully some else can teach you better than my soft brain.

Please ❤️ this or give brainliest if you found this helpful!!!! Love youuu

You would do 4 divided by 3. Which is 1.33 with repeating 3s. You would then round to the nearest hundredth which would 1.33. You can multiply 1.33 and 3 to check your work. Although it might not exactly 4 it is not that big of a deal.

Hope this helps!

The midpoint of AB is M (0, -3). If the coordinates of AA are (2, 1) what are the coordinates of BB?
frez [133]

Answer:

B(-2, -7)

Step-by-step explanation:

Midpoint is (0, -3)

A(x₁, y₁) B(x₂, y₂)

A(2, 1)

Midpoint = (\frac{x_{1} + x_{2} }{2}, \frac{y_{1} + y_{2} }{2} )\\\\Midpoint = (\frac{2+ x_{2} }{2}, \frac{1 + y_{2} }{2} )

(0, -3) = (\frac{2+ x_{2} }{2}, \frac{1 + y_{2} }{2} )

              \frac{2+ x_{2} }{2} = 0\\\\2 + x_{2} = 0\ \ \ \ times\ both\ sides\ by\ 2\\x_{2} = -2\ \ \ \ subtract\ both\ sides\ by\ 2

              \frac{1 + y_{2} }{2} = -3\\\\1 + y_{2} = -6\ \ \ \ times\ both\ sides\ by\ 2\\y_{2} = -7\ \ \ \ subtract\ both\ sides\ by\ 1

∴ B(-2, -7)

Find a number t such that the line passing through the two points has slope -3.<br> (2, t); (-2, 3)

Change in x is 4, multiply that by slope, which is rise/run so you displace the y value by -3*4 or -12
t = -9
