It would be 250 cu. ft.

Say the larger box measures 10x10x20 which would give you a volume of 2,000 cu. ft. The smaller box then would measure half of those lengths or 5x5x10 which would be 250 cu. ft.

For a fixed amount of a gas at a constant temperature, the volume of the gas is inversely proportional to its pressure. At a pre
Veronika [31]

we know that

A relationship between two variables, x, and y, represent an inverse variation if it can be expressed in the form y*x=k or y=k/x

Let

x-------> the pressure in PSI

y------> the volume of the gas in cubic inches

In this problem we have the point (30,600)

so

x=30\ psi\\y=600\ in^{3}

Find the constant k

y*x=k

substitute the values of x and y

600*30=k

k=18,000\ lb*in

the equation is

y=18,000/x

therefore

the answer is

y=18,000/x

If p(not A)= 0.75, what is the value of P(not A)
ad-work [718]
This cannot be the question. You definitely read this wrong. If p(notA)= .75 then P(not A) = .75...

If the question is find P(A), however, then the use the compliment rule

1- P(not A) = P(A)

1-.75 = .25

I need this question explained please thank you so much, the answer would be nice.

Y-intercept is where it goes through the y axis. So if you look at the image, it cuts through the y-axis at (-24, 0), so that is the y-intercept,

A rectangular container that has a length of 30 cm, a width of 20 cm, and a height of 24 cm is filled with water to a depth of 1
BaLLatris [955]

Answer:

5400cm^{3} more water could be added to the container before the container overflows

Step-by-step explanation:

The volume of the rectangular container is got by multiplying its given dimensions: Length X breadth X height

This will be 30 X 20 X 24 = 14400 cm^{3}

To find the volume of water inside the rectangular container, we will use the new height for our computation of volumes, keeping the length and breadth of the cylinder the same.

This will be 30 \times 20 \times 15 =9000 cm^{3}

The volume of water needed to be added until the container overflows will be got by subtracting the volume of water present in the container from the total volume of the container

14400 - 9000 =5400cm^{3}

Note 1 cm^{3}= 1 ml
