Answer: The given statement is True.

An organism's habitat includes a particular area where an organism or a species is found. A niche is a part of an organism's habitat.

There can be primarily three approaches to define a niche-

  • According to the first approach, it includes all the environmental conditions which are necessary for the presence and maintenance of an organism.
  • The second approach includes the role which is performed by a species in its environment.
  • The third approach emphasizes on the position of a species in its community. It is maintained by biotic and abiotic factors and the species interaction with other species.

Thus, it is true saying that niche is a part of an organism's habitat.

Correct answer: True

A niche in ecology is described as the sum of all the interaction it had in the environment. It is the role a species play in in the ecosystem.

A niche also includes the organism role in the flow of energy through the ecosystem, which include how an organism interact with other in the environment and what role it is playing in the recycling of the nutrients.

For Example: A garden spider is a predator that hunt plants and an oak tree grow which turn sunlight into food.

The role played by a spices is called its ecological niche, it includes where an organism live and what an organism eats.

The blue color of the sky results from scattering of sunlight by air molecules the blue light has a frequency of 7.5x10^14Hz cal
ELEN [110]

Answer:

Explanation:

Electromagnetic waves all travel at the speed of light when in vacuum, and essentially this same speed in normal air. Since wave speed is product of frequency and wavelength, c = f λ and λ = c/f = (3.00 x 108 m/s) / (7.5 x 1014 Hz) = 4.00 x 10-7 m = 400 x 10-9 m = 400 nm.

Considering the drifting of continents, how do you explain the abundance of marsupials and the absence of native placental mamma
garri49 [273]

Answer:

this phenomenon is a natural consequence of evolutionary processes and continental drift

Explanation:

Marsupials are mammals in which newborn offspring are carried in a pouch of the female (mother) body. On the other hand, placentals are mammals that complete embryo development in the mother's body, in the placenta. All the extant marsupials are endemic to Australia and the Americas. It has been shown that marsupials diverged (evolved) in South America, Australia and Antarctica when these landmasses were joined. In Australia, marsupials evolved to fit an ecological niche, which can be attributed to geographic isolation due to continental drift, while placental mammals are relatively recent and more scarce (mainly bats and rodents) within this region.
