The height of the liquid in the new cylinder is about 1.72 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula of the volume of a cylinder is V = πr²h, where

  • r is the radius of the base of the cylinder
  • h is the height of the cylinder

∵ The volume of the liquid = 36 cm³

∵ The liquid is poured into another cylinder with radius 3 cm

∵ The radius of the base = 3 cm

- To find the height of the liquid in the new cylinder equate the rule

   of the volume by 36

∵ V = πr²h

∴ π(3)²h = 36

∴ 9πh = 36

- Divide both sides by 9π

∴ h = 1.273239545

The height of the liquid in the new cylinder is about 1.72 cm

What is the union sets M= (1,7,10,11,15) and N=(5,15)?
katen-ka-za [31]

Answer: <em>(1,5,7,10,11,15)</em>

To get the union of two sets of numbers, all you do is combine the numbers from least to greatest. If a number repeats in the 2 sets, you only put it once.

Pls help, I don’t understand how to do this
MAVERICK [17]

Answer:

5 parts are shaded and 4 parts are white so:

There are 9 parts all together.

We can then form ratio's of the white areas and the shaded areas:

White Area Ratio =

\frac{4}{9}

Shaded Area Ratio =

\frac{5}{9}

Let the area of sqaure be equated to x, which means let the entire area of the square equal to x:

x = Area of whole square

Now we can form an equation :

\frac{5}{9} x = 165

So now we just need to solve for x:

x = \frac{165}{ \frac{5}{9} }

x = 297

The area of the square is:

297 {cm}^{2}

Marc wants to guess how many marbles are in a box that has a height of 18 inches. He calculates that there are 32 marbles in a h
Rainbow [258]

So every 5 inches in height, there are 32 marbles. You want to know how many marbles there are per 18 inches in height.

\frac{32}{5} = \frac{x}{18}

To get from 5 to 18, you multiply by 3.6.

Do the same thing to the numerator; 32 × 3.6 = 115.2.

Since 0.2 marbles is no marbles, you round down.

There are 115 marbles in the box.

♡ Hope this helps! ♡

1: answer: 4^6 ( reduce the fraction with 4^3)

2: answer: 1 ( any nonzero expression raised to the power of 0 equals 1 )

3: answer 3^8
steps: (3^2)^4 = 3^2×4 ( to raise a power to another Power multiply the exponents)
3^2×4 = 3^8 ( multiply the 2 and the 4 exponent to get a 8 as a exponent )
